Great Grandma McGaugh’s Farmhand Soup Recipe

I never met my great grandma McGaugh but I have been told many stories about her. My mamaw McGaugh told me often that I reminded her of Great Grandma.  Honestly I don’t even know if that was a compliment!  LOL!  But I do know I love her Farmhand Soup. Please take 20 mins out of your day and watch this video my dad and I made for this recipe.  Listen as he walks down memory lane and talks about sustainable living in the 1950’s!  So awesome the stories he tells.  Great grandma fed an entire crew of farmhands with this soup, now you can feed your crew too. By the way this soup goes great with grain free corn bread recipe!

1 can or fresh organic minestrone soup
1 can of organic ranchero beans with liquid (or homemade)
2 cups bone broth or chicken stock
green tops of onions chopped
salt and pepper to taste
